Kinaesthesia means ‘feeling of motion’.  Kinaesthesia is used to refer to the sensations that originate in our muscles, tendons and joints that enable us to sense our movements, the position of our body in space and the weight of our limbs.

Fine-tuning and developing our kinaesthetic awareness, so that we can distinguish between good use and habitual mis-use of ourselves, so that we can choose to improve the way in which we use our bodies, is an important part of the process that takes place in Alexander lessons.
